Julia C Liu is a Providence based filmmaker and artist. Her passion for visual storytelling started through her comics, evolving to filmmaking as a way to bring her illustrations to life.

She is the Director of Photography and Executive Producer of the Netflix original WHITE HOT: THE RISE & FALL OF ABERCROMBIE & FITCH, and has lensed several other documentaries such as WE ARE: THE BROOKLYN SAINTS, UNFINISHED BUSINESS, TAKE YOUR PILLS, WALK AGAINST FEAR: JAMES MEREDITH, and JAGGED. She also co-wrote and shot the short film EVERY DAY STRUGGLE.
